A team of 12 young people from Florida came 4-12 March to serve with us in Pamplona. Most of this group of young people used their spring break in order to help evangelize and serve. They spent time teaching daily English conversation groups, sharing the good news with students at the local university and being mutually encouraged by members of La Roca. At least half the team members shared their testimonies in a large group setting while everyone was able to share them in the English conversation groups. For the first time, we witnessed young Spaniards with tears in their eyes as they heard several of these faith stories.
Of the 35 locals who participated in the English outreach during that week, about 20 people have continued to come to the weekly times. We are so grateful to God for a Chinese student who placed her faith in Christ. She has been reading a New Testament and attending English group and Bible studies. A doctoral student also has been attending Bible study and reading the New Testament. Through the special English outreach and weekly meetings, we have also been reaching some refugees from North Africa.
We praise God for all of the ways the Lord has worked among this diverse team and the lasting impact they have helped us to make with Spaniards and people from all over the world! Pray with us for these new people to continue to have open hearts to the good news of Jesus Christ. “Jesus said to her, “Did I not tell you that if you believed you would see the glory of God?” John 11:40 ESV
